With the Show two months away, we are thrilled to finally reunite the industry after two years of being apart. Despite any rumors you may have heard, DEMA has no plans to cancel DEMA Show 2021.
We understand the pandemic is an ongoing concern and we are committed to providing a safe and productive Show experience for all members, exhibitors, and attendees. This review comes on the coat tails of the other virtual dive show, Scuba.Digital, which we attended a few weeks prior and the conclusions are just about the same; The conference component in which attendees can listen into a range of webinar-style presentations worked reasonably well.
The rest of it, however, such as networking activities which is an essential part and, to entities like ourselves, the most important aspect of taking part in dive shows, absolutely did not.
While various governments, as of writing this, are mulling over various subsidies or bailouts to tide over whole sectors of business to the other side of the coronavirus outbreak, much uncertainty and concern for the future remains at this juncture among operators with whom X-Ray Mag has spoken about the matter.
The month of November sees the return of the international dive industry trade convention, the DEMA Show, to Orlando, Florida, USA.
